“I can’t recommend Ryan enough. He is so knowledgeable and helpful but also doesn’t make you feel silly for the lack of techy skills. Personable, polite, quick to find the issue and great service.”

What we can help with

Start with what your business needs.

You do not need to choose the technical solution first. Tell us the outcome you need and we can work out the sensible route to it.

New staff need Microsoft 365 accounts and working access
Outlook sign-in, profile or email connection problems
Teams access and meeting problems
OneDrive sync, sharing and file-access confusion
Multi-factor authentication and account-security setup
A proposed email or cloud move needs assessment

What does Microsoft 365 setup involve?

Start with what each person needs to do: use business email, join Teams meetings and reach the right files from their work device. We can help with account creation, the relevant licence assignment, sign-in setup and access checks within the agreed scope.

The business should retain ownership of its subscriptions and administrative access. We agree who authorises account changes and how any required access will be provided before work starts. Licence costs and any changes to your subscription are discussed separately from support labour.

Help with Outlook, Teams and OneDrive

An email problem can come from a mailbox, a saved sign-in, a Windows profile or a connection fault. A Teams access problem may involve the wrong account, while a file that appears missing may be in a different OneDrive location. We check the likely causes before making changes.

Describe what the user is trying to do, the message they see and whether other staff are affected. FixPoint can investigate the account, device and local network as part of the same support request.

New starters, account access and security

New-user setup is more useful when access is checked against the person’s role. We can help confirm the account works, the required applications open and multi-factor authentication is configured as agreed.

For existing accounts, we can review practical access and authentication concerns. Tell us about staff changes or shared-access problems so we can assess the correct next step and agree who can authorise it.

Planning an email or cloud migration

Moving from another email provider, changing domains or relocating shared files needs a plan before data moves. The assessment should identify the current mailboxes and files, permissions, application dependencies, licence requirements and the available change window.

Tell us what you want to move and where it is held. We assess the requirements and confirm the work FixPoint can undertake before quoting. Larger migrations are separate projects; timing, backup and rollback arrangements need to be agreed for the specific setup.

Where do backup and ongoing support fit?

File synchronisation, version history and backup serve different purposes. The ability to recover a deleted or damaged file depends on the services configured and their retention settings. A backup review should establish what is protected and test the recovery route.

If the same Microsoft 365 problems keep returning, an ongoing business support arrangement can cover agreed routine tasks and maintenance. Backup subscriptions, wider security work and project changes are identified separately where required.

Small-business focus

Support shaped around the way a small team actually works, without unnecessary complexity.

Connected support

We explain the recommended next step and agree the cost before chargeable work begins.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about microsoft 365 support.

Can you set up Microsoft 365 for a new staff member?

Yes. FixPoint can help with practical user setup, the relevant account and licence checks, sign-in, authentication and access to the agreed services. The setup and any subscription costs are agreed first.

Do you support Basildon businesses as well as the rest of Essex?

Yes. FixPoint supports small businesses in Basildon and surrounding Essex. We confirm whether remote work or an arranged visit suits the request after reviewing the setup.

Are Microsoft 365 licences included in the support price?

Licence and subscription costs are identified in the quote. Do not assume they are included in support labour or an ongoing arrangement unless this is stated.

Can you help us move email or files to Microsoft 365?

Send details of the existing provider, approximate users and what needs moving. We assess the requirements and confirm the scope we can undertake. Migration work, timings and costs are agreed as a separate project.

Is OneDrive synchronisation the same as a backup?

No. Synchronisation keeps locations in step, while backup provides a recovery copy under its own coverage and retention rules. Microsoft 365 recovery options depend on the configuration and service; we can review what you have and whether additional backup is needed.

Can Microsoft 365 support be part of a monthly arrangement?

Yes. Routine user and account support can form part of an agreed ongoing business IT arrangement. Larger changes and projects are quoted separately where they fall outside that scope.
